Working Bees

As a community run kinder, we rely on the kinder community to assist with maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment that the children use. Throughout the year, working bees are scheduled for each group to participate. It is essential for the ongoing maintenance of the kinder that you participate in these working bees and ‘lighten the load’ for your group. They are a great way for parents to meet each other and of course, the kids love to come along and ‘help’ make their kinder a better and tidier place.

Your working bee attendance can also be measured in other ways. If you can contribute skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, building, window cleaning, gardening etc to improve the kinder, please discuss this with the maintenance officer as there may be projects that the preschool is undertaking that you can help out with on a more professional basis.
